Spring Things

Happy April!  It’s hard to believe that March is already history.  We’ve seen some of the little gifts of spring – tiny crocus blooms, daffodils poking up through the bark, even a couple of hyacinths.  The rain let up for a couple of days last week, so we planted some shrubs and perennials around the yard.  They’re all settled into their new spots now, since we had 3″ of rain the day after they were planted!

People in Washington are hardy, I have to say.  The training group that I’ve been running with on Saturday mornings is always well-attended, even with temps in the 30’s and rain like yesterday.  I am not so tough.  I waited until the rain stopped around noon and only then headed out for a 10-mile run around town.

April 1st is a great time to check back in on your resolutions for 2012.  Are you making good progress on your goals for the year?  If you’re not, what can you do today to get back on track?
